Plan Your Ride

Learn how to have a safe and comfortable train ride.

Tickets

You can purchase tickets online or at your train’s boarding location on the day of your ride, but tickets sometimes sell out ahead of time, so we recommend purchasing online.

  • We accept Visa and MasterCard, and online sales are charged to your credit card at the time of reservation.
  • We accept checks with prior approval only. A $25.00 fee will be applied for all returned checks.
  • Children under 4 ride free and do not need tickets.

Comfort

  • Trains run rain or shine, so dress accordingly. You may experience wind, rain, cold, heat, and/or strong sun depending on the season, so we recommend that you wear a hat, sunscreen, sunglasses, and appropriate layers for changing weather conditions.
  • Our locomotive horn can be loud at times, so if you or your children are sensitive to loud noise, you may want to bring earplugs or other hearing protection (or ask a crew member for a pair of disposable foam ear plugs).
  • There are no bathrooms aboard the train/motorcar, but there are bathrooms at the Hampton Inn & Suites adjacent to our Hampton Station boarding location, and there is a porta pottie at the Willow Springs Grotto.

Safety

Your safety is our highest priority while on the railroad, so please:

  • Keep your head, hands, and body inside the train at all times.
  • Do not allow children to climb or sit on top of railings or any other place not intended for passengers to sit or stand.
  • Follow all instructions from the train crew.

Closed-toe shoes are strongly recommended.

Pets & Service Animals

Pets are not allowed on our trains, but we do allow genuine service animals.

Special Needs?

We are usually able to accommodate passengers with special needs, but please contact us before your ride, and we will do our best to accommodate you.
